HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The state Department of Transportation is installing six speed humps on Kaukonahua Road in an effort to manage speeds between Thompson Corner and Weed Circle.
Installation work began on Monday, Sept. 23, and should be completed by Friday, Sept. 27.
Construction will take place between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
During this time, one lane of Kaukonahua Road will be closed at one speed site at a time, where signage and temporary striping will be installed.
Permanent striping will be implemented later.
